What do you like most about iSAMS?

What stands out most about iSAMS is that it’s a comprehensive one-stop shop that can be adjusted and modified with ease to suit the specific way our school operates. It gives us the flexibility to tailor processes and modules to meet our unique structural needs. This adaptability is a game-changer and ensures we can evolve without being restricted by rigid systems.

“Their team has been responsive, knowledgeable, and flexible throughout. The learning curve was steep, but iSAMS remained consistent and supportive as we found our footing.”

Warren Garrett, Primary Principal at Reddam House Sydney

Which iSAMS features do your school staff use most often?

The most frequently used feature is definitely Take a Register for lesson roll calls. However, QuickView provides a shortcut to Student details and Contact numbers, an essential tool we rely on daily, which streamlines access to critical information. Calendar Manager is our central hub for all school activities, and with three schools on a single inner-city campus, this level of coordination is absolutely vital. Other standout tools include Cover Manager, which is incredibly efficient, and both Rewards and Conduct and Wellbeing Manager, which help us track behaviour and ensure all relevant staff are informed. Teaching Manager and Student Manager are also in constant use throughout each day.

What’s your experience of iSAMS’ support and training?

iSAMS has been phenomenal in its facilitation of training. Our journey required us to rethink our implementation strategy, as we didn’t initially factor in several key aspects of the transition. Importantly, these challenges were on our side, not a reflection of iSAMS’ support. Their team has been responsive, knowledgeable, and flexible throughout. The learning curve was steep, but iSAMS remained consistent and supportive as we found our footing.

“It has truly centralised and simplified our day-to-day operations.”

What advice would you give to a school considering moving to iSAMS?

My advice is to plan a phased and well-structured transition. The “train the trainer” model is particularly effective and makes implementation far more efficient. Don’t delay the start, take the plunge, but choose a time in your school calendar when staff can dedicate time to designing and structuring before training begins. There’s no benefit in training staff, changing your processes, and then having to retrain, get the setup right from the outset.

How has iSAMS helped streamline your school’s daily operations?

As a one-stop shop, iSAMS allows me to create a role-relevant dashboard that puts the most important tools at my fingertips. My homepage is configured for quick access to registers, and my daily schedule is clearly displayed, keeping me on track. The daily bulletin provides real-time updates, ensuring I stay informed without having to chase information. It has truly centralised and simplified our day-to-day operations.
